Flights to Florida west coast

    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone could recommend the best/cheapest way of flying from Dublin or Belfast to Florida.

I remember reading on here about people flying to Chicago and the onwards via internal flight to your destination.

Also what would be considered a good price for a ticket at the minute.

    Any views/advice much appreciated.

Delta & Continental are offering flights at the minute for under €300 in March & April to Orlando

You should give travel dates and what prices you've found so far

    Hi Snubbleste,

Not done a pile of checking as of yet but dates would be in January of next year.

Just planning early to get the best deal.:)

British Airways can sometimes be good value, the only drawback is that you have to fly Dublin - Gatwick and then on to Miami or Orlando, so you're kinda going out of your way. Try www.cheaptickets.com or www.expedia.com in my experience, they offer the best deals going. All the major airlines fly to Orlando and Miami, though with a stopover. Air Lingus are the only ones that fly to Orlando direct (not sure if they fly there directly in January though). They tend to be the most expensive though (unless you hit on them during a sale)

Delta and Continental fly to both Sarasota and Tampa via Atlanta and Newark. January is low season, so there's no advantage in buying tickets anytime before December. Last Christmas there were January fares available for €200 return.
