Treating elements

Why not have a sub thread with each element of a mix... like Acoustic bass, Cymbals, synths, whatever... listed alphabetically and the typical treatments, bodges posted for each item... the mods could prune the waffling after people have given input and condense the thread into a scaled budget for recording/mixing/treating each element.

So you'd have low budget condenser tricks, or cheap freeware vst and the free ware fx at the bottom of the scale and then mid band economy tips and then expensive 'proper job' gear treatments and methods in the last section.

The continual condensing of the thread enable people to see and help update knowledge without people having to read masses of information.

We'd all learn a hell of a lot more and a good place where ITB and OTB boys/gals can really see an overview of how each camp works and learn from it.
