The Poker Room is expanding and opening a 4,000 sq ft private members card club in Celbridge in early April.

As a result we have an opening for a Casino General Manager and two Assistant Manager positions.

Salary is dependant on experience and we are planning a rapid expansion programme so opportunities are endless.

Candidates should have knowledge of poker and gaming and have previous managerial experience with an excellent track record of achievement.

Just some info with regard to the Club.

The new room is on the high street in celbridge in a new 4,000 sq foot development above Pat Toolin, bookmakers.

It is a great space, open plan with a full kitchen (great food and drinks at very reasonable prices, free if your a V.I.P) and very nice facilities.

It will have 6 50" Plasma T.V's and all sporting events (inc ppv) will be shown live in the room. Football, Boxing and UFC etc.

We will be running the same Tourny schedule as Tallaght and our cash games will be no-limit. We will also have our legendary V.I.P benefits for frequent players. (see web-site for details http://www.thepokerroomtallaght.com

The club has its own 200 space car park and there is a back enterance right in to the club.

We will be looking to open in the first week in April if the building work is completed on time.

We will also be looking to hire a full compliment of Poker dealers, croupiers, and wait staff. So if your interested or know someone who is looking for work please have them contact me after the 14th of March.

Congrats on some very player friendly ideas.I criticized your cash game rake cap on this forum before but obviously you're very generous in return for loyalty so I applaud you.I am moving to within commuting distance of the "Pale" later in the year so this looks like the club for me(Tallaght).Is there any safety issues in the location at night for players leaving with cash?

Hi Ciaran,

Never had any safety issues in Tallaght to date, the club is in a large shopping center and it has 24 hour security patrols so no issue with cars or personal security to date touch wood. (over 12 months now.)

Since I now live in Celbridge I will be looking forward to somewhere I can play locally, and I can enjoy a couple of beers without the need for taxis

Club is still under construction but I have been promised a completion date of the end of March (2009 I hope)

We will probably have a grand opening festival first week in April with some great give aways.

The Club is the two floors above Pat Toolin Bookmakers next to the mucky duck in Celbridge main street.

Will post on boards when we have confirmed dates etc.

Its going to be a really great club, with great facilities, full kitchen etc.

We have filled the General Managers position in Celbridge. We still have vacancies in the following areas.

Just a quick update.

Due to other events and a one week building delay we are now planning to grand open the new 4,000 sq ft club in Celbridge on May 1st, its a bank holiday weekend. (We will be kicking off a weekend festival with some great prizes, freebies and guarantees. (Full details of the festival to follow but it will be special.) This is Punchestown week so it should be a bit crazy with lots of big cash action.

The club is looking great and will be a superb venue for poker, currently looking at 8 poker tables on the main gaming floor and 6 on the second floor and gaming. Lots of 50" Plasma T.V's and a great menu.
