Hey dudes and dudettes of boards,
Like a previous poster has said `this is kinda embarrassing for me to say` but basically iv had the opportunity to become a male model almost a year ago by luck, but im starting to take it a bit more serious these days since its actually good fun. Now basically, Im a 20B+H smoker a day, drink ALLOT of beer, And sleep maybe 3-6 hours a night. All this out of the way i`m looking for a bit of advice. The above hasn't started taking its tole on my skin just yet thankfully (i`m nearly 21) but id like to start using stuff that`ll keep my face clear of blemishes, spots, and in general looking well.
So far iv only been using Clearasil ultra deep cleansing pore wash, and A cheap nivia moisturizer for a few weeks, but there not really doing anything as far as i can tell.

Does anyone have advice on a range of decent products i could be using? Id ask friends but iv kept this modeling thing a secret from them this long, asking this question would make them question my sexuality lol.

BTW, I wouldn't go as far as tan/makeup. After all I am straight. And p.s the quote from Patrick Batteman earlier was HILARIOUS but evidently doesn't help :) Cheers guys.

Well the best thing you could do for your skin is stop smoking. I stopped 6 months ago and it's made a huge difference. some more tips-

Drink plenty of water, at least 8 glasses a day

Eat nuts and seeds. They contain fats that are very good for your skin.

Drink plenty of green tea, also pommegranate juice. Both contain antidioxidants which will help counter the damage you are doing to your skin from sun exposure and the smoking.

Use a daily moisturiser that contains at least SPF15..This is really important to get into now when you are young. Even on days when there is no sun. Do it!

I highly recommend Cetaphil cleanser..I think I saw it in Boots (I usually get mine when I travel to the states.)

Take sugar and mix it with olive oil. Make a paste out of it. After washing with warm water, use the paste to gently scrub your face...Cheap and effective!

Avoid products which contain heavy frangrances. These can irritate the skin and cause more problems than they fix.

I also recommend Claudalie Beauty Elixir (don't worry about the girly sounding name...it works.) It's brilliant for refreshing your skin throughout the day and would be good for you since it doesn't sound like you get much sleep-

A change of lifestyle will do much more than products ever could. Sorry but it's the truth.
