    I'd presume it relates to someone wetting themselves laughing and yes I know I also have too much time on my hands for replying to this.

    When I laughed so hard once I thought my stomach was going to burst but its not a hole its more like a beer belly.(yet I dont drink).

    Getting women to laugh really hard is fun because they always let a little wee out. Silly women. :rolleyes:

    It's quite simple really.
    Let's say you have a ripey on the clutch in the Pub,and you are waiting for the opportunity to go to the lavvie.

    Someone tells a great joke,or makes some remark,and you break up laughing.
    Good belly laugh now.
    This relaxes the sphincter muscle and the force of the laughter may cause one to expel some amount of poopie into the skiddies.

    No big deal here,you can hit the can, divest the soiled garment, and consign it to the cistern, but sometimes there is a total breakout and major burst out which can have severe repercussions.

    Difficult situation to recover from.

    Hence the expression "bursting one's hole"

    Most common usage is in a metaphorical sense, but occasionally can be literal.
