What year is the corsa? Is it worth spending that much on to fix it?

Not sure on the price, it sounds a bit high. But i personally wouldn't pump that much money into a car that is probably only worth about 2k

No that seems way way way too high, same thing happened me 18mts ago, I had a rover and the gasket went, rang a dealer and he said that it would be €1,200 and when I asked him why the price was so high he just said "well your going nowhere without your gasket are ya" so basically he was charging what he wanted, if I was you I would look at some smaller independant garages, with things being as bad as they are in the industry you are sure to get it done cheaper, I got mine done for €300 but I lost the guys number sorry!!!

maybe €900 is a bit high but compare like for like.what i mean is what exactly are the different garages quotes for,jst basic headgasket replacement, with or without complete headset ?? or jst gasket, getting head pressure tested, skimed or jst a powerwash and back on ya go,i would always change oil & filter, and give coolant a good flushin as well, they can be tricky enough to do with chain as opposed to timing belt for eg could easily do a 1.4 astra for about €550 wit a headset, new t.belt, head pressure tested and checked, oil and flush done, but that is a easier car to do,point is make sure compare level of service to each other
