    Hi all,

I'm so annoyed that I cant figure this one out, I did it for my ibook ages ago but can't figure out how on my imac :(

Basically I want to set up some extra email accounts so that different people can have their own email accounts, for example:

instead of everyone using bla@bla.ie we can have user1@bla.ie, user2@bla.ie etc with bla@bla.ie staying as the parent account.

Im going to "add account" and trying from there but it wont let me get past the first stage.

    Help please? :o

    Molberts x

The Mail application doesn't allow you to create accounts - it allows you to view existing email accounts. If you want to create email accounts, you can use a free providor like gmail.com.

Then, if you want, you can have Mail collect and display the email from all these separate gmail accounts. It wont offer a lot of privacy, and it's not something I'd ever do myself.

If the email addresses are for people who work in the business mentioned in your signature, you have to create them on the server that hosts that email (you might be able to do it yourself, or you may have to ask the people who set it up for you), and then you can add them to the Mail.app.

By the way, if you don't want the different people to be able to see each others' mail, you'll have to set up different Mac OS user accounts - there isn't a way to keep them private from each other within the Mail.app.
