My 156 is wanting a timing belt change pretty soon. Had its 60k service last june. Guy said then that the variator will need to be done too. Yep, its noisy as hell on start-up!!

Anyway, just wondering if anyone could let me know anywhere on the northside of Dublin that they got a good price for this job. Got a goute from my local Alfa stealer for E700 ish and one for E400 from an indy in Ashbourne, which I think is pretty good (but I forgot to mention the variator to him on that one)

Not being rude, but I dont need to hear prices for any other makes of cars, cos as we all know the Alfa is a special breed. :D

    Thanks guys.

Yea. Gerry was the one who did the service, so I know he is good. Was just seeing if there was anything else out there before I commit. He gave me a price between those.

Am I allowed give the name of the place in Ashbourne?

Are they all quoting you for all belts, tensioners and the variator? I'd find it hard to give my money to any one else than TI or Alasta TBH.
