An interesting article by Michael Lewis of Liar's Poker fame. It's about how the Heuston Rockets calculate the stats of one of their unsung players.

Also, The End of Wall Street is a great read about the guys who first discovered and profited from the subprime crisis.

Hey thanks for that. I have 'Moneyball' by him on my list
I watched this on PBS in the States - its a great documentary about what happened from The Bear Sterns through to the Lehman Collapse.

The finance book I am looking forward to most in the next year is by Bethany McLean, as I thought 'Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room' was a really great book, so watch this space.

Cheers boss, I should probably have highlighted the second article ahere a couple of months ago. It really is a must read for anyone with an interest in how the world works, never mind finanance.

The one thing I continually learn from reading and life is the amount of chancers that are out there is unreal.

Will keep an eye out for that book. Recently finished Krugmans "Depression economics" and into Galbraiths "1929 crash"; Eyes Wide Shut kinda stuff

    Back to my beer...
