I'm not sure if this is in the right part of the forum but i thought id give this a go..
Years ago whilst in work I was lifting heavy boxes incorrectly I injured my back...
Had MRI scans and they showed that one of my dicks in the lower back had started to protrude out a bit..
Anyway had some physio and now I'm about 75% fit...
Although.. and here is where I need the info...

Every once in a while I'll play footie or do gardening etc... my back starts to ache and lasts for days but its not the spine its the two muscles (i think they are muscles) down either side of the lower spine... These are like rocks and where the pain is coming from... Is there anything i can do to stop this...?
My ligiments in my legs are very tight and can hardly put my legs straight when lying on the floor.
I was hoping if there was anyone out there that had a similar problem or what to do to make me fit again..

    Fingers crossed....

I think you said it yourself, when you said that you were about 75 per cent fit. Was wondering why you ended physio?

I damaged two discs and soft tissue in my lower back in September, and I'm not back training properly yet. I then ended up with runners knee as a result of exercises I was doing from my physio. My hamstrings have felt tight as a result, but in fact was coming from my back - my hamstrings weren't tight, but neuralgia was causing it to travel from my back into my hamstrings

Anyway, I reckon you need to go back to your physio, and see what they say. From my reckoning, you should be doing some sort of maintance exercises. A physio shouldn't leave you go until you are 100 per cent, or back as far to 100 per cent as you can get - if you leave when you feel better, you will end up back again with a worse injury.
