Im not sure if these threads are usually post in this forum, hopefully someone can help.

Basically I have a small radio in my office and has a wire aerial (not a sold metal aerial) Because my office is central on the floor, im not close to the windows. Therefore Im fairly limited in terms of what stations I seem to be able to pick up and the signal is usually poor.

Is there an easy way for me to boost the signal besides buying a new radio?

Unless there is an RF coax socket closeby? but dont you have a PC with radio capabilities? I worked in an old basement Gym & we used to tie the wire aerial to a radiator pipe > that worked to a degree!

At this point, I'd like to invite some of the techy heads in the forum to give us an idiots guide to how radio works ( me being the idiot) - any volunteers? I'll sticky it for future reference..
