decent mileage/km and car allowance???

    What would be considered a decent rate per mile/km, if one was doing in excess of 40000 miles per year??

    Also, what would be considered a decent allowance towards a car???

    any info appreciated; I haven't a clue!

    We usethe civil service rate in work, which is based on engine size. But I think for 40k driving a fair rate would be 35c per km.
    As for the allowance, what typeof allowance is it? Is it a cash payment to compensate your wear and tear? Or is it a figure you have for your lease payments for the year?

    Either or tbh.

    I haven't decided whether to go the leasing or buying route; though I'm leaning more towards leasing....

    What would be considered a reasonable allowance for this??

    For a 2.0tdi Passat or something similar?

    (Well this is what they will base the allowance on.... but I intend getting something a little different;))

    Well for my 1.6 I get 69c per mile. Bigger engine the better the rate
