Setting up a web site

Two friends of mine have recently set up their own business. I have helped them out with most of their computer stuff, (setting up e-mails, and doing safety statements etc.) They have now asked me if I would set up a web site for them. I have never set up a web site before, and I wouldn't know where to start.

Can someone direct to a web site or something on how to set up websites?

Found this site, http://www.w3schools.com/. But I'm in the same boat too. Been asked to do one, but haven't a notion where to start! I've been looking on YouTube for a few tutorials too. Hope that helps.

Do you mean to design / code a web site and put it onto a hosting site?

Theres a lot of work in that.

Several free sites has templates, you just fill out the info and add pics.
They also offer hosting etc. Google around a bit and you'll find them.
*often "free" mean they want to put some adverts on your site*
