    HI folks,

Well confused here. Got my GP to sign my medical card form, it got approved and rang my GP today to make an appointment. But when I said I had been approved for the medical card since my last visit, they told me they could still see me but I would have to pay, as the agency were having some difficulty in registering with the medical card company.

Basically, I want to see a GP for a number of things, and now I have the card I want to make use of it, but my own GP who signed my form won't take me.

Can i go anywhere else? I thought you had to go to the GP who "took you on"

please help or transfer this to a thread that might!

The Whitehall clinic behind Dunnes in Galway might be able to help you.
When i first moved to Galway and fell ill and had to see a doctor i walked in and they took me.
And now since I have left college i need to find a "proper" G.P aswell, also need to get my medical card sorted so im hoping I can just drop the sheet into them to be signed as i am not going all the way back home to get my "proper" G.P to sign it, that i havent used since i was about 12!
