    Hey,
I need some advice, after sex my boyfriends condom fell off in me, obviously sperm fell out,so I'm clearly worried...
I want to get the morning after pill, can anyone give me some advice on this, afaik its only availale on prescription right?
I was going to go to the family planning clinic, does anyone know if it'll cost to get a prescription from the doc there/go to the clinic? I know it sounds bad but unfortunatly due to circumstances beyond my control I can't really afford to to pay for a doc right now...

I don't really know any answers but just that there's been no replies I would hope maybe the well woman clinic might be of help? http://www.wellwomancentre.ie/index.html
    best of luck

I know my doctor (women's health specialist) charges €70 total, including the pills. I can't imagine anywhere charging you more than €100 for it; and if you go to the IFPA or a Well Woman centre, they generally have the pills there - so you don't need to go to the pharmacy for them.

Are you asking if you can get it anywhere for free? Cos I'm afraid the answer is no :(

It's about 70 quid for the dr visit and the prescription all together.
It may be hard to find/borrow the money but having to travel for an abortion or having
a child is a lot more expensive.

I keep trying to ring the family planning clinic but der's no answer...should I just go in?
I don't have a GP down here in Cork yet so thats why I'm ringing the clinic...

Yep, go down there. There must be some sort of walk-in GP clinic somewhere as well, and even if there's not, most GPs will give you an emergency appointment if you ask for one.

FAmily planning clinic is 57Euro and they give you the tablet there!

If you go to the doctor you have to pay the fee for the doctor which can range from 50-60 and you have the prescription on top of that which can bring it to 70!

I would just go straight to the clinic if i were you - they will take you for the mornign after pill without an appointment!

you do have to go though op - That 57 euro versus what a child will cost to bring up bears no resemblance,.

    Best of luck

Nope, they will give you an apt and you will have to come back. Normally they are faily busy so they will ask you to come back, sometimes when its too alte ( after the 72 hours is up)
I suggest looking elsewhere for a second apt just in case

If you're in college, go to the doc there. Drag a friend along if you need to. If you're worried about it there's no point worrying about it and doing nothing.
