There was a post on this a while ago with various people giving their own opinions and how they find their bank. Would be worth looking back for it.

I have had accounts with a few banks. They all suck. Almost equally.

If you can find somebody in business, with a good track record with a bank who will give you an introduction to a friendly manager, this is the best. I had a great bank manager for about 10 years because of an introduction.

    Must change banks again :-)

well i use BOI for my personal and business accounts. The business online is very useful and free for a year too. They even send out a guy to set it up for you. Although i did have trouble recently when requesting a cheque book in one of my trading names. even though i know the business account manager, i had to do alot of chasing to get the problem fixed. I hear AIB are good.

I find that AIB have the edge over BOI in terms of business banking.

I think to be honest the best thing to do is sit down and look at their websites and see what they each offer new businesses or what services they offer for business banking and picking from that for starters.
What you will find is after that it just comes down to your individual branch, this thread last time turned into a my bank is better than yours. At the end of the day a good manager, good staff and being able to call in and sort out your business matters are whats important and unfortunately these arent going to be the same in every branch. Im with AIB and due to circumstances end up dealing with about 3 seperate branches, depending on what i need to do i sometimes will hold off and go to a certain branch just because the service is better there.
Someone else could come along and slate AIB but again they are talking from dealing with their branch. Compare whats on offer at the minute and go with that bank, in the current climate every freebie or offer helps!
