    Is it true that a personal trainer must give you an all new session every time you meet ( eg not the same exercises for two consecutive sessions )

    So could anyone give me an example of a four week programme a trainer might give. Just say I was looking to lose a few pounds.

    Any input appreciated!

    Thats not true, there is no definite rules to personal training.

    Hi, no it isn't true at all, same as if you were to go the gym, you get a program, sometimes they ask you to do the same thing for a couple of weeks. However, it depends on the individual persons needs. There should be variation within the progam, if not when the personal trainer is with you, and different parts of the body should be worked depending, again, on what is required. And the program should be changed and adapted as the weeks pass.

    Not every session - unless you have clients that are coming to you 2-3 days a week the sessions are going to vary.

    The main thing is that the client is making progress - if not change the program, increase weights/decrease weights etc

    Overall none of the above matters if the client is fecking about with diet and not putting in the hours outside of the PT session.
