I bought something on Ebay in good faith from a dealer which was advertised as "fully tested" with a 10 day warranty. However when I received it was not working and obviously was not tested. I notified them immediately and sent it back by registered post. Post now costs me e30 both ways.

It looks like now the dealer is unable to offer an alternative am I entitled to the full refund plus the postage costs?

If the seller was a business, then yes. If private, no. Even if they are a business, good luck getting them to refund the payment. Neither Paypal nor eBay will enforce that requirement, and if they decide not to, there's not a lot you can do to force them. The European Consumer Center may be of assistance.

    Cheers,

They have well over 2500+ Feedback, all positive, I'm sure they don't want any blemishes. I just spotted something else on their website for 20 quid extra, I may be able to haggle with them for it.
