Some chancers, two Irish priests in the US blow $100,000 of church funds and then deney doing anything wrong

Guinan admitted he used church funds to repay personal credit card bills, allowed bookkeeping records to be faked while the real ones were shredded and took 12 trips in the 15 months he was pastor at the church ending in 2005, including six visits to Las Vegas and three to his native Ireland.

But Guinan, supported by some other priests, asserted that the diocese gave priests free rein to spend sums under $50,000. This "right of discretion," Barlow said, meant Guinan could spend those sums as he wanted, no matter how reprehensible it looked.

Thats nothing but pocket change to other priests.

For example, an Archbishop Marcinkus Via America (then stashed himself in the safety of the Vatican) made one billion vanish from bank accounts.

Archbishop Marcinkus was indicted but never tried in the banking scandal, which peaked in 1982. The banker he worked with, Roberto Calvi, was then murdered from Blackfriars Bridge in London a few weeks later.

He knew too much and was silenced.

Didn't end there. The next pope was to open the books of the Vatican bank for International investigation but mysteriously died the night before he was to legally authorise the transfer of info to the proper authorities in Italy, Europe and America.

Guess what - the next pope after that kept stum and wouldn't allow any further investigation. That non-conformatity of helping any investigation still persists to this day.
Rome is saying nothing - allowing nothing to be further investigated.
