PAUL HYLAND IS TO FACE NIKKITA LIKIN ON THE 27TH OF FEBUARY http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=207025&cat=boxer
    HE IS 8-16-2

PATRICK HYLAND WILL FACE ANGEL CHACON ON THE 14TH OF MARCH http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=7261&cat=boxer
HE IS 30-8-2 AND THE FIGHT IS FOR THE IBF INTERNATIONAL SUPERFEATHER WEIGHT TITLE

EDWARD HYLAND WILL FACE A YET TO BE NAMED OPPONENT ON THE 16TH OF MARCH IN MADISON SQUARE GARDEN

Both are EXTREMELY weak - however that doesnt shock me!

WELL EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OWN VIEWS BUT MYSELF I THINK PATRICK HAS A TOUGH NIGHT AHEAD OF HIM, THAT GUY HAS FOUGHT SEVERAL TIMES FOR WORLD TITLES AND FOUGHT SOME REALLY BIG NAMES TOO,

Both are exactly what is required tbh.
Paulie needed an opponent that would probably guarantee he will be ranked by the EBU so he can actually fight Ian Napa.
He's got himself a tough journeyman who will come and have a go for 6 rounds and lose on points. Lukin isn't great but this is just a tune up fight for Paul and Lukin should provide exactly that.
Lukin would become Paul's 4th best win if he's successful.

Considering Napa fights 3 weeks after Paul in his first defence, Hyland may be able to manage one more fight(if it really is needed) before a fight with Napa.

Chacon used to be a pretty decent fighter but is now pretty shot. However despite that he should still offer Patrick his toughest fight yet and a nice step up as he gains his first International bauble.

A 12 round fight in America will be great experience for him aswell and should he win impressively we'll have to start putting him up there with some of our other prospects rather than just one of the 3 Hyland brothers.

A bit harsh to be honest.

This is a step-up for Pajo for sure and as Bigears said, a great warm up for Paulie for Napa as Lukin has never been stopped.

It shows that they are willing to get moving with their careers, and about time it must be said.

Patrick Hylands opponent is a good pick imo. That Lukin guy is alright as an opponent but shouldnt he be beating someone of better quality to get his shot at nappa?

All he needs is enough to push him into the rankings so he can be a voluntary.
The wins over Callghan and Heagney(both better than Lukin)+ this will be enough to do that. Snarski is a pretty good win for Hyland too and considering the versions of Callaghan and Snarski he faced, Snarski's probably the better win for him(although I heard it was very close and could of gone either way).

If you look at Napa's next defence He hasn't exactly done a lot either. But he's #5 in the EBU ratings.

Looking again now Paul's actually moved up to #11 making him eligible to fight for the title now anyway. Still it's an okay tune up fight for Paul and as I said would be his 4th best win. Keeping him active is important too, so although the opposition could be a little better it's okay for what it is.

Not to sure of the details yet, will post when I get them.

This is the first report I have found online for the Irish boxing card from Boston.

The fight going the distance will be good for Pajo as it is the longest he has spent in the ring thus far.

Hopefully this will kick Patrick onto the next level.

I see Spike notched up another win, although by DQ.

other way around I think - the results of Eddies never came through - but they have them now and he is fighting next week
