3 series spoiler removal?

How would I go about permently removing a rear spoiler from a 2004 BMW 3-Series......This is a pet hate of mine and is ruining the car for me :(. Would it leave holes, could I get a small lip spoiler to hide the holes. Thanks in advance.

how about trying to swap bootlids with another car of the same colour . im sure there must be people that like those things. if you offer to pay for the work and swapping locks etc, everyone wins. maybe there is a bmw forum somewhere you could try.
