words without music

    Hey ive wrote a few songs without music and im just wondering are there people out there that wud help with the music for the song. i have an idea of how the songs will go.. just cant play an instrument to back them up.. Id love to get them recorded and see what they turn out like..

    Why not stick up words to one song and see what response you get? Don't get dis-heartened if there's no feed back as it is a very slow forum. But this being an open forum I think it's good to give a bit out if your expecting some in. What I mean by that is is that there are more people looking for feedback on their work than there are giving it and if right being right it should be 50/50. But the first step is to jump in and let go.
    I know I've been fiddling around with some tunes with no words that need a home.
    How are you going to give the reader the gist of your musical intention? (if you feel that's important).

    I've also written a lot of lyrics/songs without music. I can't play an instrument to save my life but I can sing a little. If any one out there is interested in having a look at them or putting them to music that would be great, it would be great to put them to music if they're any good! I have an idea of what kind of rhythm/sound/flow etc they will go in. If there are any musicians out there who are interested send me a message and I will send the lyrics on or I can post a couple up.

    Hey guys, I too have written a few songs without music but recently I used a mates macbook and used the garageband program on it. Its simple to use and even a simple drum loop can make all the difference to how you want it to sound.

    I wrote what I thought was a slow acoustic-type song for a slow tempo of like 85 BPM but it sounded amazing with a drum tempo of 120 BPM.

    Music programs are brilliant cos you don't actually need to be able to play instruments, only how you want the song to sound...

    those words without music which translate quickly into a beautiful song are poetry. it should have a natural rhythm, not necessarily obedient rhymes.

    I am prob a bit late getting in on this conversation but I play the piano and I am handy enough at throwing a melody together...no good at words though! Anyone want to PM me a few lyrics? Give me an idea of what genre it is, the speed, the mood and what the message of the song is and Ill have a go!! Not promising anything but Id love the challenge..

    have exactly opposite problem, not sure how this works but let's try and pool resources. originalcity

    I am new to this discussion board, but I have recently started writing songs, without any music, for a musical.

    I have an idea for a musical production and I have planned it out. I just need to finish writing all the songs. I have written about 4 songs so far.

    If there anyone who has worked in producing musicals or writing music for musical productions I would love to hear from them since I don't think I will be able to produce a musical on my own.

    i have a few tunes that i think are good but have no words, i am a drummer
    but play piano and guitar for songwriting. i also have a 16 track recording machine. do you want to send me a few lyrics and see what happens?
