No piracy discussion, please. Free recommendations only unless the OP decides to be more open to paying for software.

Why not just get an invoice template designed for Word, then open it up each time for invoices - do the changes, print and send. Or just do the changes and email.

    +1

Also if you go down the route of purchasing software there are loads to choose from. The following are ones I have come across that are simple to use

    Sage Instant
    Quickbooks
    Sortmybooks
    TAS Books

Why purchase when you can get it for free?

Software for invoices is only worth it for large companys tbh.

Easier and cheaper to get a template designed, do the changes and fire it off. Hell even the date/invoice number can be auto-generated to save extra time.

Though, we have several custom web systems built for invoices to be emailed but its all tied in with our member section from the various company websites.

large companies only? I wouldn't agree here. Although a template will allow you to create invoices, you will also need a decent spreadsheet to record amounts invoiced, vat amounts, payments received etc etc.

Using a template would invoice a large amount of repetitive manual work is keeping track of everything.

When you can get something like sage instant for around €150 or even cheaper on ebay its money well spent. Also if you are providing parts accounting software will allow you to set up stock inventorys etc. It will also allow you to keep track of your creditors.

I guess my point is , is that if you are going down the route of regularly sending invoices then €150 is worth every cent.
