hello all.. just looking for some know how!

I have 8 tv points around my house wired back to attic and I have an 8 way loftbox setup in the attic which is working fine with standard aerial signal. I want to install sky + by bringing 2 cables from the dish externally into the sky+ digibox and use one of the cables previously run as the return (RF out) to my loftbox so that the signal can be split to the rest of the tv points around the house.

Does anyone know if this would would work or does the dish need to be connected to the loftbox before using the sending the rf out signal back to the loftbox??
    Help appreciated thanks
    mc

That should work perfectly fine. It's similiar to the way I have mine.

Your loftbox needs to be able to handle "remote eye bypass" to allow you to change the sky+ channels in other rooms but otherwise its the correct setup for what you want

If you find that your loft box does not support tv link (remote bypass) then there is a range of loft boxes available that not only support the bypass but are also powered from the rf out voltage on the sky box so they don't need an external power supply.
    I got mine at satcure.co.uk.
I have both a sky + and a sky hd box as input and the output is to four other tvs around the house.
Mind you, I had to buy a "combiner" to combine the two sky inputs together before feeding into the splitter. The combiner is available on the same site if you ever want to go that way.
