Passing through Kilkenny late afternoon between 6 and 7 pm, hoping to find a child friendly restaurant ( not supermacs or mcdonalds type) if possible please. A pub would be fine if food recommended. Pasta/sandwiches would be fine. Or meat/fish and veg type meal. Easy parking a distinct advantage! Used to live near kilkenny a few years back so am a bit familiar with it but not in recent times. Thanks in advance.

Langtons is always good, Hotel Kilkenny too, I wouldn't go near Zunis, your best bet is probably Langtons though I think.

Langtons for tasty bar food for a tenner, served lightning fast. Can't be bet for value and quality and there's often kids in there. Handy parking too.

Yep Langtons is good alright. Also might be worth checking out the Broguemaker on the Castlecomer road. Its always full of families. You get a decent feed in it.

When we lived in Kilkenny, we made a trip to The Italian Connection every Tuesday, and found it very accomadating to families. We parked in Dunnes.....
