Is a dent in a rear bumper an NCT Failure?

Can anyone please let me know if my rear bumper will need replacing before I do the NCT?

The bumper is in place perfectly but the rear right corner is creased in?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Post a picture up of it. I think it should be fine from what you are describing. As long as there are no sharp or jagged edges that could injure someone then you are probably OK.

    Check the manual

You could probably take a hammer to that yourself and fix it.

I was going to suggest the same, a bit of gentle heat and a bit of time with a hammer should gently knock it out and make it look a lot better.

Thank you all, I think the ladies hair dryer and hammer and I should be sorted.

You can wrap the head of the hammer in an old tshirt/towel and tape it secure, to soften the blow a bit so to speak.

Thank you Biko it would make for a smoother surface alright.

As long as the bumper is secure and not cracked, it will pass.

Mine is cracked and has a hole in the corner, and it passed the other week.
