I've been toying with the idea of eliminating the ould amp umbilical. Would my tone suffer/degrade using a wireless sysytem?....Your thoughts and experience and any recommendationsd would be great lads :)

Played a gig over the weekend ....tripping over wires....felt like i was tied to the amp. I'd love to try one of the wireless systems and have a bit more freedom onstage out but i've heard your tone definitely does suffer. I'd love to hear of experiences with the wireless sytems pros and cons.

I use both, wired, and wireless. I have a sennheiser EW system going into a Boss GT-Pro. There's 2 completely different tones when swapping between the two. The wired has more sustain, and has a more bassy sound, the wireless seems to kill the signal to the amp, and also doesn't have as much low end in the sound, which means I have to have 2 banks of patches in the GT-Pro, one for the wireless, and one for when my battery dies and I have to plug in.
