    Hi All,

My main aim was to make sure no mistakes were made at any event of ours ever again, We implemented new strict rules to chip counts, chip ups , Rebuy Cards Etc. We feel we have the correct formula now goin forward so that every single chip in play can be traced at all times during the tournament .

I would like to thank the players for the support 107 player for the first Leg of the Ipt was superb and we are delighted with the turn out , Congratulations to Patricia Mc Clean (Carfax's Mum) who really played out of her skin throghout and did a deal 3 handed as chip leader .

Also to all the players from Blazin Aces who proved the Club players are at the top of there game with the following making the final table , Colm "Playin out of my Skin" Reville was 2nd for €4000 Billy Fitz was 3rd for €3500 Alex collyier was 5th for €1200 , Eoin Reinhartt was 7th for €800 Peter Fleming was 8th for €600 and Kieran Wall 9th for €500

Blazin aces is breeding some of the best players in the country and long may it last .

League Details can be tracked at www.ladbrokeslive.com , Results and league will be updates Monday 23rd Feb.

Well done to all at Big Slick on a great tournament with a great entry.

Also well done on the results & accountability which we all know takes time & effort.

I hope this is the way all tournament organisers will go in the future, full accountability & total transparency, it is the least the paying customer deserves.

Best of luck with the rest of the Ladbrokes IPT.

well done Neill and crew for a great tourney, as per usual the high standard we have come to know so well was observed at this event

Well done to Patti Mc Lean, i keep sayin she is a force to be reckoned with, steady and fearless, brave play and good reads won her this event, Congrats

it was a series of donkouts for me, having been up to 77k when the average was about 25-30k
TT with a 7 high rainbow flop, called all in against 66 only to have the guy hit a six on the turn
AKs against AQos and the guy hits QQ
Kings against Aces, no good and a set of 8's bumbled out against a dtraight draw
finally AJs against 88, no help
and another tourney ends in failure

thank god i am running hot in cash games, played the 2/5 round of each with 250 min starting stack and managed to quadruple + my money

paid for my weekend, and a few squid over, so not so bad after all

well done again Neill, keep up the great work, count me in for the next one please and bring along some more donks for the cash games

    Derek

My only problem was the side event. I coundn't make the main so i drove down to play in the side event only to find it had been capped at 20 players. reason told not enough dealers. how could you expect to run two events in one night and not make sure you have enough staff to accomodate everyone.

We had 13 Dealers on but unfortunately the main event still had 88 Players in it at 8.30 the structure was very slow and we did not lose players . At 8.20 we only had 6 registerred for that event so i made a decision to make it a stt . We then got a few more players and we opened another Stt for €50 and Players seemed happy iwth this . Unfortunately 1-2 people did not make that list . Not only did we not have Dealers we did not have tables which as u saw when dealers and tables became available i made them free for the Stt .

Sorry u did not get in

were not off at all, just the way KAKAk stated it, reads like its a new thing for organisers to have correct chip counts and that Bigslick deserve back slaps for doing this when its mostly the norm.

the last thing I wrote in the Clonmel thread was this

Bigslick are running a rebuy event in Waterford this weekend, there is no regulation to ensure that monies wouldn't be skimmed from the prize pool,( I'm not saying there would of been) but I can guarantee that after this thread every penny will be accounted for.

You would be amazed at how many organisers don't have total transparency, check chip counts etc. There are a lot that do but just as many that don't.

Big Slick made one mistake, apologised and corrected it. They also learnt from it and listened to comments. This is a big factor in going forward, not just for them but other organisers as well. Some couldn't care less about what people say, or how much they are doing wrong, they have a following and will keep going so long as they make money.

Do we have to have a debate for every post I make

I'm open to correction, but as long as I'm playing poker I have never seen on Boards details as listed in Big Slicks report with ALL details e.g. Entries, Buy Ins, Top Ups, Total chip counts for the final table, total list of winners with amounts, list of original payouts. (If it has been the norm you might be good enough to show me where this info has been given before on Boards).

Lets give a bit of credit where credit is due.

Bigslick have to do this to repair the damage that was done to there reputation, which I'm sure and hope/know that they will. However you suggesting that they are shining beacons among tournament organisers and championing customers rights is just bullsh1t. They did what they had to do simple as.

Lads - we are seriously not going down this road again. My head will explode, which even though that might be fun for ye, I'd rather it stayed intact.

NUL150 - no more accusations please, Big Slick have given their explanation and the matter is closed from a boards point of view.

As Nicky has mentioned, in some people's eyes Big Slick have some ground to work on to repair reputation. This weekend seems to have been a step in the right direction. But Big Slick (and supporters of Big Slick) will need to realise that for some people more still needs to be done.

So all that said can we get back to the original topic of a promoter seeking feedback on the event in question please.

(on a seperate note you do realise that after all the dramaz about this, Waterford posters now have as bad a reputation as Cork posters. Yes lads it really is that bad :p)

i arrived it the woodlands yesterday around 2.45,what can only be describe as PURE SICKNESS after been out the night before with a few of the lads who drink pints for fun i wasnt in the right mood to play this tournament but i had won my ticket form an all in or fold up in blazin aces the week before for (10euro) so i wasnt go miss it,
To make a long story short got down to the last 16 and lost three races in a row all in preflop eg my 10/10 V AQ then my JJ V A7 with a k77 flop and to round it off my AA V AK ofcourse the AK hit a flush on the river  (BILLY U FISH) plus it was billy who had the AQ against my 10/10, so now i have a reason to be sick not only did i go out in 15th for no cash, i arrived home at 4.00am only to be in work for 7.00am,
But after all that i still had a brillant time and will be at any futher big slick events and well done to clom/alex and billy (FISH) for cashing

    MY MAM WON THE TOURNAMENT!!!

Patricia Mc Lean will be giving lessons (my Dad and myself are her first customers)...PM me for full details, I will try to negotiate you a good rate.

By all the reports I heard it was another really well run tourney Neill. My Mam wants to know when the next one is so she can take home some Waterford player's moneez again :)... ... For some reason she said it was extra sweet to win in Waterford

    Stephen.

    Well done Patricia!!!

Reads like she whipped their asses goooooot... :p not surpised really, as from I saw of her play in the IPO she's a solid and decent player.

It's lovely to have a woman winning a key tournament for once... especially in the male dominated South East region, don't hear of too many female players from down that end (hey... I'm open to correction here!)

    Stephen,

I think that was because she was the one who put the final nail in my coffin (although it was A 10 v's my KK that had earlier done all the damage) ;)

I think Horsebooks was joking about how close it was. I think my Mam did have just 5,000 (not 5 as horsebokks was indicating) more than you at the time though.

Yes there was only a 5-10k Differnce in chips at the time and Billy was low stack and deal was done on chip counts but worked out heavy for the top 2 .

In fairness to both they rounded down and agreed a deal to sort Billy out and all parties went home happy .

    Regards

    Neill

    That's a bit harsh.
