    when i post a you tube between captions all i see is a white screen why?

    I had to go and poke around with existing posts to find a possible answer as I'm not sure if I've posted a youtube vid on boards since the embedding tags were introduced (in other words, this works but may not be the definitive answer)

    What you appear to be doing wrong is posting the full URL within the youtube tags - this is what you posted above which can't be seen in the post:
    www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIwZm1EKIc0

    All you need to include is the bit at the end after the =
    NIwZm1EKIc0

    Thus:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIwZm1EKIc0


    Or you can include the entire listing in the "Embed" box inside the youtube tage but that isn't necessary
