Thats right Ive grown man breasts. I know nothing about fitness or exercise and I desperately want to loose these blasted tits and flatten the stomach as well.

Ive money set aside to join a gym (theres one near me with a pool) but I wouldnt know what to do when Im in there.

On the diet side of things I dont really have the time or money to change it.
I work 6 days a week and eat in the canteen: usually veg, potato and either chicken or fish in a sauce - yeah I know its not the best but its not the worst and theres no option. I have cornflakes and milk for breakfast and in the evening I have a ham and cheese sandwich. I dont drink (Ive about 6 cups of tea a day though ;) ).

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated :)

Sorry mate but thats complete crap with a touch of laziness thrown in, you can prepare your own meals the night before and bring them in to work.

To get rid of the moobs you need to loose weight, so sort the diet out and up the exercise level, lift weights. There is plenty of info in the stickies, plus if you join a gym you usually get one session with a trainer for free to work on a program,

    Good luck

Sorry, but your diet will have to change. I'm guessing that the manboobs are the tip of the iceberg? I've never seen them on really cut guys with six packs.

Aim to cut out all the junk and eat a quality protein, a healthy fat and lots of green veg at every meal. Try eating eggs or porridge for breakfast, that's even cheaper than cornflakes. If necessary get up 5 minutes earlier, you definitely have that much time!

At lunch, tell the canteen staff that you are under orders (you can imply it's your doctors orders, not mine) to eat better. Ask them to give you the fish or chicken without the sauce, and to give you salad or plain veg instead of anything junky. I'm willing to bet money that the canteen already does this for anyone with diabetes. Limit the amount of white carbs you eat.

A good suggestion (not mine, wish I'd thought of it) is anywhere you'd normally eat a sandwich, keep the same filling but eat it with a big green salad instead. And where you'd normally eat rice or pasta or potatoes, replace it with a huge pile of green veg. That will save you around 500 calories a day and really improve the nutrition of your meals.

Tea is fine, so is coffee or water, just no sugar.

At the gym, get a trainer to show you how to make the most of the free weights. Ask specifically to be shown the right way to do squat, deadlift, bench press, stiffleg deadlift, bent over row, pull ups, military press, hyperextensions, wood chopper, etc. To start with, you'll use light weights as you get the form right, but as soon as you can, increase the weights until you have to struggle to finish a set of ten reps. Do three sets of ten of each exercise.

You also need cardio, but I imagine they will be quite happy to show you all their cardio machines and how to work them. One thing: the fat burn zone is a myth, expect to puff and sweat or you are not working hard enough.

Work hard in the gym, but take rest days as well.

How much drink would you get through per week?

Hmmm that's not a bad idea actually... Think I may take this up myself!

Now what vegetables are good for spaghetti bolognese...? :p

Op, if you are intent on going to the gym, go for a 3/4 weeks on a pay per use rate first and see if you like it. Personnally I get bored in gyms and would prefer to be out on my bike cycling or walking, whatever suits you best.

+1 for eggs and porridge for brekkie, plus try a pint of water first thing when you get up in morning, it keeps some of the false hunger away and hydrates you making you more alert/awake.

    Best of Luck

I use red kidney beans in place of pasta or rice or noodles. Tesco do tins really cheap. Or else I make the spag bol with less sauce and use iceberg lettuce.

I fry up mince and spices and dump in a little cheese a and iceberg leaves shredded up. It is just like eating bugers without the roll.

or just make your own sauce with chopped tomatoes and tomatoe puree. Its far better than any of the jar stuff. I also stick peppers and onions in mine

Personally, I tend to a fairly normal sauce (mince, a can of tomato, mushrooms, onion, garlic, olives, lots of herbs) but rather than eat it with pasta, I boil and mash a cauliflower. I think pasta is a shocking waste of calories. Have you ever seen the size of a proper portion? It's tiny!
