What style of tattoo do you want?

Different places will be better at different styles. Think about it more.

lol so weird im just back from london...:D

I got inked on Saturday in a place called "Evil from the needle" in camden. In my opinion one of the best places in Camden (there are quite a few studios there). They have about 5 Artists which of course have different styles. The Receptionist is great she'll listen to want you want and then recomend the best artist for the job. Its a really friendly chilled out shop!

It really depends on what artist in whatever studio is best suited to the style of tattoo you require. No real point going to someone specialising in Japanese tattoo and looking for a portrait. Evil from the Needle have a good rep in general and are well thought of for New School and Horror/darkwave tattoo. Frith Street in Soho are well thought of for Old School style. Thats all I can think of for now.

I got a large Celtic piece in Northside Tattoo in Crouch End, N8. He's a Brazilian tattooist who only opened his shop there last year, he's very good at portraits and specialises in Japanese style stuff.

Near him, also in North London is Lal Hardy on Muswell Hill, N10 (?). He's one of the best tattooists in England but you'll have a long ass wait to get inked by him personally.

Everyone that's getting recommended here has at least a 3 month waiting list, I know for a lot of the Frith Street artists it's longer. The apprentice at Cult Classic in Romford is pretty good and should be easy enough to get an appointment with. He does really traditional stuff. Also James Ollife in Kamil Motep's place which is in Camden as far as I know, he's still an apprentice but his stuff pretty cool.
