I'm thinking of getting a bike for the summer. I have a full B license which once would have permitted me drive a bike also.

Do I need to do a theory test, get a L Permit etc and then take a test before I can get out on a bike?

I have tried to figure it out from the RSA etc, but am not getting clear information. Somebody else here must have done this before :)

That is the case on licenses issued before October 2007, if it was issued after this, you will have to apply for a learner permit in category A.

Thanks chaps. I shall apply for my theory test and permit so.
