Make-Up in Dublin Airport

Hey all!

Right, so I've got waaaaay too many hours to kill in Dublin airport next week, so I'm planning of making the most of my time there and doing a bit of shopping!

Tbh, I'm not really familiar with Dublin airport shopping at all, normally I'm too busy running for a flight to check out duty free.

Anyways, I hear there's a MAC counter there? Is it cheaper than at BT's? Is there a good selection of MAC stuff?

Any other nice skincare/cosmetic brands to check out while I'm there?

Anything erm, fun to do there while killing a few hours?

Cosmetics and perfumes defo cheaper in the airport. MAC counter not bad - usually quite well-staffed.

Yay! I think I just may gonna on a bit of a MAC splurge then in that case, I've been eyeing up a few brushes too..

Hmmm, whats the newest collection MAC has released now? I'm confused.. it's hard to keep up, there's like a new one every 2 weeks now!

It's up to 21% cheaper than the high street. As well as MAC, there's the usual brands- Lancome, Dior, Clinique, Estee Lauder, YSL, Chanel, Armani, Clairins, Origins and Creme De La Mer. Smashbox used to be there, not sure if it's still there.

Keep a look out for travel value sets. They sometimes have some good deals there.

Be careful if you're travelling with Ryanair. I see now that anything other than the 1 carry on piece and they charge you something like 30euro! So if it doesn't fit in the bag you'll have to pay. Ridiculous!:rolleyes:

For skincare I'd recommend Origins. I love the stuff!

Where are you going? If you're going state side, I'd wait until you got over there because products like Benefit and MAC are way cheaper. I think it's much of a muchness price-wise though, perfume is usually cheaper. Some of the assistants can be majorly snooty especially at the Creme de la Mer counter but who has money for that really?

mac is definitely cheaper, i saved some money getting stuff in the airport before. ill be in the airport at the weekend & was planning on getting new foundation while im there but unfortunately ill be there at some stupidly early hour when nothing is open

What time? It should be open at 5am.. as that's the time I sometimes had to start. Shockin I know. :eek: (unless it's gone back to 6am due to the economic blah blah blaaaaah).

last time i was at the airport really early most of the proper shops didnt open until 7/8 and some of the coffee places etc opened at about 5.30.

my flights around 6 i think, so wed have to be at the gate by 5.30 (or probably earlier since its stupid ryanair)

Maybe not but travel value (duty free) defo opens at 6am, 5am during the summer or busy periods.

they have alot of moisturisers form the likes of lancome and clinque all on sale. There was 20euro off one of them, cant remeber which exact one though.
