The Fiesta "Steel" only appeared from 2004, you will be hard pushed to find a decent one on your budget.

Fiesta steel can only be had with the 1.25 engine. still a great engine but just to let you know.

took a 1.4 for a test drive the other day, twas the newer shape, kind of like a mini focus. lovely to drive and really wanted to go. fell in love with the car but he wantewd too much for it. saw another one on carzone. its a 3door but with brit reg on it. if its a car sales business in the republic would they have had to pay the vrt?

then it wasnt an actual Steel.

They're supposed to pay the VRT if they're legitimate. But there are some out there who wont pay it before selling it

A registered car sales business in the republic with a TAN no. is entitled to have a car in stock for sale on uk plates without being accused of being dodgy. If you decide to buy their car, on paying a deposit they will clear it for you.
    all the best
