Well, if you dont like those EULA's you can always train your cat up to do it for you!

I found the article via Slashdot.

So, what does it mean if your cat agrees to the EULA? Can a cat enter a contract?
"Anne Loucks built a device which, when her cat steps on it, can click the 'I Agree' button of a EULA. Who knows what the lawyers will make of this sort of madness. Can a cat make a legal agreement? Does it need to be of legal age? She lures the cat onto the device, and the cat steps on it of its own free will. Anyway, folks who hate EULAs now have another tool to make the lawyers freak out."

    :o

You would want to be careful doing this. You don't want to licence a bit of software to your cat.

Nice idea. I heard of people getting their moeny back for vista by telling Microsoft they wouldnt accept the EULA.

I don't have a cat so I use my mouse instead.

Her cat like say a pen is her property. If she dropped the pen on the enter button it doesn't mean the pen entered into the conrtract anymore than the enter key did.
However get a minor to click it and then *maybe* we're on to something.
This has given me an idea though...(away I go....)

Does this not mean though that only her cat is able to actually use the software as only it agreed to the T&C's!

EULA's it seems aren't exactly enforceable anyway.
