Chlamydia

So, I have all the symtoms of chlamydia for over a week now.
I went to the doctor last week to ask for an sti screening, the receptionist said that there was a long waiting list.I harrassed her a little and got an appointment for 7 days later. Now I'm pissing about once an hour and it's fairly painfull each time, I can also tell that the infection has spread from just below the tip to the base of my penis but for some reason I have to wait 7 days to piss in a cup.

I'm tempted to go in tomorrow morning and demand a cup. What the hell am I supposed to do?
It's also a little embarrassing with a room full of people in reception, to demand a test for chlamydia.

if you're in Dublin there's a walk-in clinic in St' James' Hospital. You'll find more details here

How can you be sure that you have chlamydia or any STI? Do not self-diagnose, just go get a regular appointment with a GP and go from there. Any GP should be able to see you within a day or two, especially with the symptoms that you are describing.

Go to a GP, could well be a normal urinary tract infection which they'll be able to test instantly for with a urine sample.

GPs can usually test for STIs too

Excuse my ignorance but does Chlamydia not have any symptoms? I had it a few years ago and it was by chance it was disgnoised. I shouldn't make suggestions and definitely do not think you should self diagnoised but it sounds more like a kidney infection you've got. I would say go to a different doctor. Chlamydia definitely did not cause me urgent symtoms so going to your regular GP or St. James would be a good idea

Don't be offput by any mention of the "umbrella", being more akin to a (smaller) cotton bud - it really is no more than a very brief moment of minor discomfort.

I'm prone to UTI's myself- antibiotics from any GP will clear it up.

    Pop into a GP.
