employment appeals tribunal (EAT)

    Hi
I have been made redundant and sent in the RP50 to get paid out of the redundancy fund.
I was then told by the Redundancy sect. That they can not pay the money out as the company has not proved that they can not pay it. I was advised to fill out form T1-A and send it to the employment appeals tribunal (EAT).

I am trying to get a time frame on when I will get a hearing. I called EAT and they told me 18-20 weeks.

If/when EAT decides in favor of you getting paid from the Redundancy fund. How long does it take for you to get the money?
Do they post out a check?

Is there anyone else out there going through or gone through this process.
If yes what is your time line or how long did it take to get a hearing?

I sent in my T1-A the end of Jan2009

    Thanks

I am waiting for a redundancy payment after my appeal was granted in February. The employer was inspected in April and proved inability to pay.
I was told 9 th July it could take another 2 months and it will come by cheque.
