Why do men put the toilet seat up?

I wonder if some-one could answer this mystery for me.

Now it doesn't annoy me if a man leaves a toilet seat up, as it doesn't take much effort to put it back down, but why do they put it up in the first place?

There's a massive hole in the toilet already. Putting the toilet seat up makes that hole very slightly bigger! What's the point of it?

I just got thinking about this topic, as there is a thread about male toilet habits in the ladies lounge forum, so I wonder if any men in here could shed some light for us?

Usually to do with the turtle neck, it can send the spray at very weird angles, If we get most of it in the bowl its a victory. If you want to see a live demonstration you can invite me over to your place.

6 a year is enough.
