Sorry if i am duplicating an existing but I have looked everywhere and i cannot figure out how to stop email notification for subscribed threads. Also i dont actually want to be subscribed to threads just because i reply to them.

There are settings in your control panel to change that and you can unsubcribe to threads there too. have a look and if you dont see them, drop back here.
