Why are you so sure its fake? I'm not really sure how to figure that out. Looks real enough.

It does come from a fishing tackle shop:p

The way to check for sure is to get the serial number and cross check it with Gibson. They will actually do most of the leg work as they want to protect the brand at all costs.

The headstock looks funny but I too would be unsure if it is definatley a fake.

The truss rod cover should only have two screws in it, like this

Maybe its just a different truss rod cover, or maybe it was replaced? Is this the only thing you're going on?

The side of the N in Gibson should be perfectly vertical, not slanted like on the fake. Plus, the top of the headstock is all wrong, look how much it dips in the middle on the fake.

Would not have had a clue myself on the difference between the fake and real but well spotted LAM.

Also look at the cheapy cheap tuners, and the fact that the "U" doesn't quite join up on the fake.

Wow someone should really say it on the page. Someone is gonna pay atleast €1500 for this thing.

The douchebag is probably bidding on his own item with a second account, to make it seem more legit. I'd be surprised if it was an actual bidder making those high bids. But I guess you can never underestimate the stupidity of some people, so who knows.

You can't say it on the page, you can ask a question but it will only go on the page if the seller approves it. The best you can do is report the item, and ebay are pretty slow/useless at removing them. They got the crap sued out of them by some perfume manufacturer recently, so they may take these things more seriously now..

I've reported fake Gibsons before, even a fricking fake Epiphone!!
I also reported the auctions to Gibson via email.

Neither Ebay nor Gibson seemed to give a sh*t.

Did anyone inform Gibson about this.....they would be happy to hear from people? They always email back over fake items on ebay.

I think it's a pretty bad fake TBH.

    1. Gibson logo is wrong and on really crooked and looks like a decal
    2. split diamond is too small
    3. truss rod cover is wrong
    4. tuners are cheapo looking and aren't aligned too well.
    5. back of the headstock has clumsy taper on the paint.
    6. headstock angle is wrong - too flat
    7. case is completely wrong with really bad looking Gibson CS logo

this seller has had fakes on ebay before and I have complained to both ebay and Gibson too and here he is continuing to rip people off. ebay even have a guide on swpotting fake Gibsons but don't seem to want to pull aqds.

That clumsy taper on the back of the headstock almost looks like a bad photoshop effort. Also, whoever put the Gibson sticker on crooked placed the wrong sized diamond decal too low, comparing to the genuine model here:

The truss rod on the fake looks more like the one on the original colour Zakk Wylde LP, but really as soon as you put the pics side by side that should be all anyone needs.
