Brand new Chesnut Uggs... halfway through the day just potting about & I don't know how in gods name but there is dots of grease stains all over the left one!! One even smeared a bit!!!:mad:

Any suggestions... tried the powered thing... no joy... & I don't want to try the eraser trick cos all that does is wear down the sheepskin!!

I had a friend spill dark brown grease on her light beige Uggs recently and she used these instructions :http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/home/heloise/laundry/remove-grease-suede-may02

It completely removed the stain but it took a few tries.Even on examining them now you can't see where the stain was and it had been quite big. The eraser part definitely worked and did her Uggs no harm even after going over them several times.I'd try it if I was you.

make a breadsoda paste and rub gently with a dry soft cloth...the paste should be grainy not wet and use a suede brush to rub off excess.

"Gank" or not I don't care it's a pure comfort factor with me, I hated them until I tried them, still hate the look of them, but have them purely for comfort due to injuries!!!

Did you ever stop to think that the only reason ppl call them Gank is cos they are outrageously common??? Well newsflash, so are trainers everyone wears them no different than uggs & why cos they are comfortable & there are a hell of a lot of f'in manky looking trainers out there going around & the ppl wearing them thinking they look gorgeous in them!!

Thank you to the lovely 2 with the tips! :p

I got this thing called a Janie dry spot cleaner in Homestore and more a couple of years ago (don't know if they still sell them though). It's a stick of chalky stuff that you rub onto grease stains on clothes etc and within minutes you brush it off and the stain is gone - though sometimes it takes a second go.
Here's a link to a UK site that have it if you can't find it here:

A clean brown paper bag (or possibly a few of them) and a warm iron. Put the brown paper over the stains and iron over them - the paper will absorb the grease. Keep going on fresh paper patches til the stains are gone.

It works like a charm. I thought I was going to have to replace my mother's brand new carpet til the lovely lady on reception at the first carpet-cleaning company I rang told me to do this. It also works on candle wax.
