ok basically I was looking at getting a booster pack for operating a beacon. the beacon works off the cigarette lighter. by the way its for an old tractor that dosnt have a cigarette lighter. the roscon booster is 60e with a cigarrette lighter thing. my question is how long would this operate the 12 volt beacon for roughly. would one get a good day out of it or what.

Depends on the rating of the battery (it should say on the battery somewhere how many amp houres it is rated for) and the wattage of your beacon. If you have those two figures, you can calculate roughly how long it should last

you could always wire a cigarette lighter into the cab, would cost about a tenner.

Does your tractor have a 12V system? If so it would probably be handier to permanenty wire the beacon.

If not, Aldi still have the booster packs for €40, it has 3 cig lighter slots, compressor, flashing beacons, lights, as well as the jump start function.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Yep now you mention it, I saw them in Aldi last Thursday. I bought one a few years ago and the battery was rated 17amph iirc (from memory)

What are the two figures I mentioned, OP? We'll give you an idea of how long the beacon lasts if you come back to us.

It's as simple as joining a wire to the battery + terminal, adding an inline fuse, connecting the wire to the + terminal on the plug, earthing a wire to the body of the tractor (presuming the tractor uses a negative earth) and connecting this to the - terminal of the plug.
