Start up Company Bank account

    Im just in the position to be looking at open a company bank account and im looking for advice and guidance as to which bank can provide me with the best deals and services as a business start up.

    I have a personal account with AIB. Would I be better of keeping things simple and going with them?

    Hi gypsy777,

    As said above, if you have a good relationship with your bank on the personal then they could be favourable to you commercially. Having said that some banks run promotions aimed at start up companies/businesses like BoI and Ulster Bank so it's always good to shop around too.

    I believe ulster bank have had the best start-up package for the last number of years but since the turmoil in the banking sector i would say they are all trying to get whatever they can.

    If I were you I would talk to all the banks in your area and tell them what your looking for. From your post I assume you are not looking for any finance/leasing/loans. So if that is the case you need to focus on maybe getting FREE BANKING for a period of up to 2 years. shop around and you WILL get it,all the banks say that they cant give it but if you are playing one against the other they will give it to you.

    Bank of Ireland are normally the best for business packages and they have a dedicated business centre in their main branches.
