    Hello,

These questions are constantly being asked. Truthfully, you are too old to take up competitive boxing I would say. Not too old to take up
Boxing as a hobby or activity per se. I would try to find a gym that caters for boxing type training. A club is a club, and it's only purpose is to produce competitive boxers. You may be lucky and find a club that will allow you to train even if you do not intend on competing.

Do the research and give it a bash, for fitness and enjoyment
and discipline, you won't go far wrong and it may just help you
out "on the beat." I said HELP, don't go thinking you're Robocop now:)

you'll get the list to all the clubs in ireland here and you could contact them and see if they are able to take you on, whats your area and you might get a more detailed answer..
I also thought the guards done boxing too, check that out..they used too.

Hi, Ive stated this before when somone posted a similar
question here, but i think its relevent, if you want to
learn how to box you will have to spar, im twenty six
and started boxing in the last few months, and you will end up
sparring people alot better than you ,it will hurt and you will get
beat up. I think people dont always realise this when as an adult
they contemplate starting boxing, but if you dont mind getting beaten up
a we bit sometimes its class.

Foams, i teach private boxing lessons to many clients who want to learn boxing, most never spar and just enjoy the skills and the fitness benefits,

Im not saying your totally wrong as in most cases people who train boxing would expect to spar anyway..
