    Hello,

I was thinking of stay in the Hudson Bay Hotel for a weekend break, just wondering is it a nice place to stay ? and is there a good night life in Athlone so we can go out and have a few drinks.

Hudson bay is nice, in a nice quiet area. But its a good 5 miles from the town centre.

Night life is OK. Same as every other town in the country. 2 niteclubs - Karma and Q. Neither are brilliant. Karma probably the better of the 2. Good few pubs around the river area - Palace and Seans on the west side, Gerties, Coppers, and the Prince (hotel) on the east. They are all with in a 5 minute walk of each other.
