Reaction Times

I read somewhere recently, it was on boards I think, that a man in his early twenties who is just over the legal alcohol limit, would have the same reaction times of a 75 year old driver or something like that. So a 22 year old just over the limit is as dangerous as a 75 year old who hasn't touched a drop, yet the 75 year old is doing nothing illegal.

I always thought about this when I was doing my driving test years ago too, that even though I may be perfectly aware of what's going on and anticipate things in great timing, the instructor may not agree because their anticipation time is ageing as they are too. So should youngsters be given more leeway if they can complete expert in minesweeper in under 100 seconds on court day? :pac:
