From description [FONT=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica]"the KH15 is best for high performance cars".
I wouldn't put them on my own car but they should be fine for a 206, price seems good

These are Summer Tyres, not worth a feck should it rain. Think they are also illegal on Irish roads. Don't Jap imports have to have summer tyres change to all weather tyres for Irish roads?

Sorry but that entire post seems like BS to me.
Summer tyres is just making a distinction between regular tyres and winter tyres.
    Illegal??? Against which law exactly???
Do you think it doesn't rain in Japan???

All tyres sold in Ireland must be of all weather grade and be to regulation ECE30.
Sorry if it seemed like BS, but I know what I am talking about and if I am unsure I have a little book beside me that gives all tyre information to correct me when needed.

Kumho tyres are great value.you may not get the mileage out of them as a better known tyre but you will have no problems.

The GF rang the garage back there and the lad on the phone said they're H model, not KH

Can't find any info on Google for H15's?

Conflicting info here - some people saying they're grand, others saying they're sh1te???

Ok, the are 82H, which means the following

82 is the load rating, 475kg per tyre
H is the speed rating, 210kmh

Kumho are an ok tyre, just make sure that they are legal / safe for Irish roads(if purchasing off the internet this might be an issue, if buying from a fitter it should not be as they are required by law to only sell EU spec'd tyres).
If you are looking at bugget, have a look for Koromans, these are made by Michelin and are their budget range. You should eb able to get these got around €50 per corner.

I was in the trade for years and sold plenty of kumho tyres you wont have any trouble with them and they are more than good enough for a 206.
The H stands for the speed rating that the tyre is given when it is manufactured H being good for 130mph.
As for being illegal in ireland I've never heard that one.
I think the op is confused with the second hand tyres that come in to the country from germany and such places that are S rated or m&s rated as in Mud and Snow.
Generally the lowest speed rating in use over here is T rated which would also be good enough for a 206

I don't give a sh1te about budget tbh, hence why i'm asking here

From opinions here, i'm confused about that tyre. Can anyone recommend a decent 'normal' tyre for a 206 165/45/14 ? Or are the H version of those Kuhmo's OK? What do the K in the KH stand for in the above model that I linked to?

Thanks folks - tyres are not my speciality

If your not buying from the internet, then they are fine. There are many companies selling tyres into Ireland that are not suited to Irish roads. Once you are buying for an Irish retailer, north or south, you will be fine.

    Michelin, bf goodrich, dunlop, bridgestone

Cheaper then these uniroyal ,hankook, toyo, Semperit comfort life.

I bought tyres lately and had a look at kumho and they were not for me.

If budget is not a priority then buy a good tyre. The way i look at it is as follows.
Cheap tyres are ****e in the rain and average in the dry. If the difference between putting on a good set and a poor set is 100 euro and the difference in stopping distance is only 5 feet you might say lets put on the cheap set.
Think of this scenario a child comes out in front of your gf and she brakes and stops in time, great. Now with cheap set she goes another 5 feet and hits say a 4 year old ( addmitedly it will be a slow impact but a child is very weak) and kills the child.
    Enough said.

P.s the braking distance between a good tyre and a poor one is a lot more than 5 feet!
