Thought abot posting in travel forum but figured it would be best answered here.

If I rent a car in Munich would I be covered to drive in Austria? I booked holidays for the summer in Austria but Ryanair have pulled out and now I'll have to go through Munich.

    Thanks

Contact the hire car company to double check, but I can't imagine there being a problem taking a German car in to Austria.

I used to work for Hertz and there are different restrictions for each country. I think from Germany you weren't allowed to take VW, Audi, Mercedes or BMW's in to the Eastern European countries, but the rest of Europe was OK.
