You should only change if you plan on taking their broadband and phone too...the savings there are excellent!

For just TV however, you will get an inferior product for a higher price.

It all depends on your reasoning. UPC cable has broadband and phone, Sky is unlikely to offer this in Ireland for some time. Sky has a wider selection of TV channels and services, although UPC has made a vast improvement in this regard since NTL/Chorus days. The range of different packages and temporary special offers make it almost impossible to make a direct price comparison. Try for yourself amongst what your friends and family have to make a valid comparison.

We had Sky in our last house and have Upc digital and broadband in our new house. However we will most certainly return to Sky as soon as we have an eircom connection becausethe range of channels is far superior to Upc.At least according to our resident couch potatoe..my husbsnd:(:o:D
Having said all that Upc's broadband is the best we have ever had and we have never had any problems with it.So looks like we will go back to Sky for tv and eircom for broadband.

I voted no because their TV isn't as good. Keep the dish as you can get free channels on satellite. UPCs broadband is good but I would rather have Sky for TV.

You can stick with UPC phone and Broadband if you like and just cancel the TV. The Broadband will cost you an extra €6 per month if your not getting TV, but it is probably still cheaper and better then Eircom.

Problem is we need Eircom for the Sky connection. We had Eircom broadband before with no issues but we will miss the speed of Upc.However you are right in saying it will probably work out slightly cheaper.
