Firefox 3.0.6 using massive amounts of memory

Has anyone else notice that firefox 3.0.6 is using massive amounts of memory the last couple of weeks. I find it is using around 300MB after about an hour. I have spoken to a few other users and its the same for them. If you use no extensions it goes to between 70 and 100MB though, but what use is firfox without…
